Bio
Hi, My "real" name is Karen. I'm a single parent, 43 years old, 5'4" and ~300 pounds. I drive a truck... semi, long-haul. I also homeschool my son who rides with me. In my free time I like to read (usually sci-fi or fantasy, but sometimes politics or religion too).

I started this blog after reading some others about fat acceptance. I'm a big girl and despite trying to eat better and exercise more the scale just doesn't move (at least not down...) and so this year I decided to give up the scale instead of start one more diet.

I do still try to eath healthy and get some moderate exercise. I'm concerned about my health, but have come to the conclusion that dieting does more harm than good. Physically and mentally!! So at this point, I'm trying to accept myself the way I am and find some other motivation to do the healthy stuff, something that doesn't involve getting on a scale to decide whether or not I'm okay today.
